Participation Conditions and Rules Governing

the International Indoor Rowing Championship

of Slovakia

 

1.  International rules for rowing on the Concept2 rowing machine apply here.

    

2.  Race distance:

 

  • 500 m 12 & 11 (male) born:1998 - 1999

  • 500 m 12 & 11 (female) born:1998 - 1999

  • 1.000 m 14 & 13 (male) born: 1996 - 1997

  • 1.000 m 14 & 13 (female) born: 1996 - 1997

  • 2.000 m 16 & 15 (male) born: 1994 - 1995

  • 2.000 m 16 & 15 (female) born: 1994 - 1995

  • 2.000 m juniors (male) born: 1992 - 1993

  • 2.000 m juniors (female) born: 1992 - 1993

  • 2.000 m men, women

  • 2.000 m veterans (men), veterans (women)

  • Relay 4 x 250 m juvenile (2nd stage of basic schools)

  • Relay 4 x 500 m secondary school students

  • Relay 4 x 2 x 500 m firemen, policemen

 

Only unregistered competitors - amateurs, clients of fitness centres and sport clubs, who have not participated in the competition of the Slovak Indoor Rowing Association or Slovak Rowing Union during the last two years - may participate in race 10.

 

Competitors older than 30 year must state in the Entry Form if they want to start in the main category or in the category of veterans.

 

The organiser reserves the right to decide about the change of disciplines or their order.

Winners of individual categories will be announced after each race.

 

Competitors in the veteran category shall state their age in the Entry Form.

5. Other information

 

1. The age categories are valid for the year 2010.

2. Registration of participants: 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

3. The participants will be set in the particular race according to their best personal time stated in the Entry Form. The holders of the official national records have the right to row in the last race of their category.

4. The Entry Forms must be filled in properly and sent On-line application (down below the propositions) till 28 February 2010. We shall not accept the incomplete Entry Forms.

5. It is strictly forbidden for a rower to manipulate with the measuring unit on the rowing machine either before, or after the performance.Only a personal trainer is allowed to be on the stage.

6. In case of a proven technical defect on the rowing machine the rower is allowed to repeat the race after the finish of the race. The rower issupposed to report the difficulty by raising his/her hand.

7. There are no warming up races! The fastest time from each race, according to the categories, is the winning. Other rankings will be set according to the times achieved.

8. All of the participants will claim they are in good physical condition. All participants have to agree to this condition at the registration desk.

9. Warming up can be performed in the Fitarena, where there will be another Concept2 indoor rowing machines available for the rowers.

10. The winning rowers on the first 3 places will be given a medal and a diploma.

Parking

 

Parking is possible in the Fitarena car park.

 

Reception

 

All championship participants can participate in the reception that will be held on 6 March at 18:00 in the restaurant Barbakan in the city Banska Bystrica in the form of buffet-style tables with hot and cold meals.
